About Me.

Hi, I’m Heather.

If you are reading this, you are probably looking for someone you can truly trust with your child. I want you to know that you are in exactly the right place.

But before I tell you about Vista and Vision Learning, I want to tell you about me.

I Know What It Feels Like to Struggle

I grew up struggling with math, not just finding it difficult, truly struggling. I remember the frustration, the embarrassment, and belief that maybe I was not smart enough. What I know now is that I was not the problem. The approach was. I did not have the right tools or the right support. I want to make sure other children never have to feel the way I felt. If the resources available today had existed when I was growing up, my entire learning experience would have been different.

Nearly Three Decades of Loving Children Well

I spent 18 years as a classroom educator, watching young learners grow and discovering that the early years are everything. What happens between Pre-K and early elementary sets the foundation for all that follows. Beyond the classroom I carry nearly 30 years of ministry work with children and youth, and currently serve as Children’s Pastor at Everyday Church in Belleview, FL. Working with children is not just my profession, it is my calling.

The Nine Years That Changed Everything

In 2017 I stepped away from the classroom to become a travel advisor, then built my own travel agency. I was successful. But something was always missing. In the fall of 2025 I started tutoring again- just for extra income. Within weeks I knew. Nothing in the travel industry carried the excitement of watching a child read their first sentence, write their first word, or finally understand something they had been told they could not do. It was time to come back to education.

Why Vista and Vision Learning

Vista for perspective. Vision for possibility. Every child deserves someone who can see both where they are and where they can go. The mountains in our logo represent Tennessee, where I raised my boys and where my heart will always live. The wave represents Florida, where I planted new roots and found my way back to my purpose.

I offer personalized one-on-one virtual tutoring for Pre-K through 4th grade. I meet every child exactly where they are — their pace, their interests, their learning style. No pressure. No one-size-fits-all. Just patient, intentional, joyful learning designed around your child.

For the Parent Reading This

You do not just need a tutor. You need someone who will show up for your child with the same care and intention you do — someone who sees them as a whole person, not a test score or a reading level. I have 18 years of classroom expertise, nearly 30 years of ministry with children, and the heart of someone who has spent a lifetime believing every child is capable of more than they have been told.

And I have been that struggling child. I know what it feels like to need someone in your corner.

I would be honored to be in your child’s corner.

With heart,

Heather McGregor
